Scandalia

Description

Bontempi presented the production Scandalia, a mix of theatre and visual art based on the memoires of Herculine Barbin, a hermaphrodite who lived in France around 1850. He/she wrote his/her autobiography about life as a woman and man just before killing him/herself by putting her head in a coal-fired stove. The production is a sensation for all the senses.
